This house was built in the late 1890’s by John Boothe Dalton, M.D. Dr. Dalton was born September 12, 1869.
He and his wife (Jennie Reed Dalton) had three children: John R. Dalton, Clarence Hunter Dalton, Cecil Grace Dalton
Dr. Dalton served the Graysville area as a physician for many years, deliverying almost all the babies born in Graysville. He died on April 23, 1949.
The house’s front foyer also served as the Graysville Post Office for a period of time.
The house remained in the possession of descendants of Dr. Dalton until 2011.”
