The home of poet John Ashbery in Hudson NY.
http://vr.ashberyhouse.yale.edu

The house was built in 1895 for contractor, newspaper publisher and postmaster John F.X. Brennen (1852-1926), designed by architect Michael O’Connor. Sold since the tour was made in 2017, showing the appearance with Ashbery’s collections.

That’s a nice one. I haven’t seen that before. I laugh how the guy appears on the steps!

Nathan that’s incredible. I have always wanted to see the spiral lincrusta in the main hall in use. I’ve only ever seen that in the catalog. That house has an over abundance of stunning embossed wall coverings. Its in rough shape but the bones are there.

This one is a stunner too. WOW. I love the woodwork, stained glass windows, and that staircase. Even a small conservatory.

OMG dude. Nice find!
The wallpapers and anaglypta still in tact, and the woodwork in this house are amazing. I do wonder why they state that the family would only eat in the formal dining room on special occasions and taken their meals in the back part of the kitchen. That doesn’t seem accurate to the era at all. Unless it was something that only this family did…
