Lot of house for the money. Original trim, mantels and some nice built-ins. Four acres to boot and a 3 car garage. Lot of house for someone to work with. Kitchen needs some attention!

What do you suppose that room is in the 3rd from last pic? A window that faces out to the hall?

As a fan of vintage appliances, I can’t help but smile over that Harvest Gold wall oven! But the well on the porch would make me nervous. Couldn’t pets fall in?

The “window in the hall”, looks more like a mirrored cabinet, such as a medicine cabinet…why it’s in the hall, not sure. I do love this house, except for the painted woodwork and all the wallpaper.

  5. This is located in the middle of nowhere which is why it’s seems so “cheap”. It actually seems to be priced high for the area to me. This is located about an hour from me, and the estate sale company I work for occasionally did the sale for the family who owns this house.

There’s a ton of possibility with this one. And the price seems very fair for what you are getting.

Looking for feedback here….is it me or do southern homes have more fireplaces? If this home were in New England – and especially dating from 1911, one would be lucky to get a fireplace.

I hate wallpaper, but I like this house.

Tiffany Saint is correct in her assessment. It is a tad bit over priced for the area. BUT with that said, every year 2x’s a year there’s a HUGE county fair (May/October), which would allow the home owner to receive additional income from parking. Also, the house is in need a of LOT of TLC. When the Estate Company did the sale, you could see all the lovin’ you would have to put into the house. It is rural, yet right there off of SR85. Tour the City of Gay via Google. Most of businesses are closed except during the fair but it is a quaint little town. There’s also a railroad just across the way & yes, they have many trains going through there every day.
