This brick Italiante house was built in the 1850's by Hannibal mayor and dry goods store owner, Thomas Collins. It is located in the Central Historic District on a prominent corner. Many of the home's original features are still apparent-period woodwork, grand staircase, high ceilings, well-proportioned rooms, oak hardwood floors, a stunning fireplace, and 4 intact chimneys. The house has a newer roof and some recent and electric and mechanical, though all of the systems will need updating. As evidenced by the turn of the last century photography, the house had a stunning carpenter gothic porch, rooftop widows walk, and shutters at each window and the grounds had a quaint low fence.
