Here is your diamond in the rough! Take a look at this 3 bedroom ranch tutor cottage home. There is so much potential from the bold classic woodwork and flooring, to the stately fireplace. You have to checkout the built-ins of the separate dining area. There is a walk up attic that is only limited by your imagination as to how you can finish it. Monroe's historic downtown is an easy walk to restaurants and stores. Hurry before this gem is gone.

Looks like a very lovely and intact bungalow that’s appropriate for that time in Wisconsin. I had a 1910 bungalow in Milwaukee with many of the same features and finishes. It was one of three of the most comfortable and livable houses I’ve ever owned. We converted the unfinished attic into a master bedroom suite. The craftsmanship and attention to detail on the woodwork and built-ins set these houses apart. It needs a little spit and polish but I’ve seen much worse.

Little clues makes me think this home didn’t start out with a stucco exterior but was brick, like a lot of it’s neighbors. Cute place, though, and would be a great project.

I was wondering the same thing about the brick. It seems like a very nice neighborhood of well kept homes and yards. Hard to go wrong at that price!

  3. Very nice, I don’t think from the looks of the pics that it would take too much work. I love the stove. It looks like it has a smiley face. I like the pink overhead lamps, wooden columns and diamond pane windows. The bathroom just needs a few touches. The bath and sink are keepers. Floors can be restored. I would prefer the stuco removed but don’t know if that is feasible. The yard is great.
