It looks like it might have been used as some kind of retirement or half way house. It looks like it was quite nice 10 years ago but as for now, it hasn’t been vandalized and it still has some like aged neighbors. It was a pretty house. Hope their are photos or some kind of plans available from back in the day so a person would have something so work off from. Would love to see some color and luxury put back into this home.

Poor Detroit, so many beautiful homes deteriorating. So sad.

The city is experiencing a profound resurgence.

And, yes, it still has problems.

But, for people who held on during the dark era, they’ve seen a huge increase in property values these past five years. Five years ago one could’ve found a sorta affordable house in, say, indian Village. Not so today.

Even the massive and long-empty Michigan Central Station is now under restoration, after being purchased by Ford this year.

    wrong for my taste

I feel like there would have been some stained glass windows in this house. Some of the doorknobs and lockplates (is that the correct name) are missing. I wonder what it looked like in it’s prime.

What a sad house. Looks like a good contender for an HGTV restoration show. It’s been empty and cold for far to many years.
