This 4th Gen Idahoan had to look up Roberts on the map! This gem of a house is a rare find in a small rural agricultural town of 676 residents. It is placed close to the meandering Snake River, Yellowstone, and Jackson Hole. Eastern Idaho is truly a magnificent place if you prefer quiet rural living and 4 distinct seasons!

  2. I’ve lived in Roberts, Idaho for a time with my father and stepmother as a young woman for a year or so. My parents are buried there. It is a very sleepy little town. It has barely grown in the past several decades since I’ve moved away, and I’ve seen it go how shall I say, downhill in slow motion over time? It has been a farming town, but those farmers children have mostly moved away as they’ve grown up, and the farmers aren’t really there anymore. Not so sure what it’s being replaced with. It really hasn’t grown much as a town. The house is a beauty though. I must have passed it a million times, and never really paid it much thought when I lived there. It wasn’t a B&B back in the day. It was a private residence. That’s a public elementary school directly across the street from it. Roberts was then and maybe still is a commuter hub to Idaho Falls, 16 miles away on the interstate.

    • ETA: Roberts has some redeeming features if you like wide open spaces and small towns. Because of it’s being a small town most people know each other and therefore no one is a stranger. So if you like privacy, that could be a drawback, because it’s hard to be an introvert in a small town like Roberts. They love social dances, including square dancing and jitter bug with local live music. Lots of country western influence still there if you’re into that. 🙂
