I’ve visited and researched some of the homes in Woodville, MS, but am not familiar with this particular property. Woodville is a historic town and still has a wealth of architectural treasures from the days when cotton was king. The population has declined over the years, and the grandeur is now faded, but it is still worth a trip, especially since it’s located almost halfway between two other historic towns – St. Francisville, LA, and Natchez, MS. The countryside is pretty, as well. Clark Creek Natural Area is a great place to hike in the Tunica Hills. There are several plantation homes in Wilkinson County, but they are definitely off the beaten path.

    1885 Italianate.

adorable house, quite large, wish for more pics, but love what I see. The details on window trim is cute cute cute.

I noticed the window trim as well. Reminds me of a pagoda. These rooms would lend themselves well to chinoiserie.

I love that kitchen. Only thing I’d change would be the paint colors (and adding an O’Keefe & Merritt stove).

So adorable…and 2 acres in town. It is on the historic registry, which is a little scary if you want to make changes.

I’m not sure if there’s a local historic district board for this home or not. If not, you don’t have to go by the board to make changes.
