Well this is it. This is my dream. I love the proportions and the symmetry. I love the contrast of the bright green countryside against the white siding. It’s simple yet there is so much to see.

I’d like to know why it was relocated, how far and for what reason. It’s a lovely home and a very nice property. It seems very private, like a personal sanctuary.

I can see such potential in getting this back to the 1790s. LOVE IT! Come on, Powerball!!!!

It had some re-doing at a Victorian time in its history, judging from newel posts & door with double arch millwork, but happily nothing too overpowering. Beautiful situation.

This area is known for its extant Antebellum houses with several dating back to the Federal era when this home appears to have been originally constructed. The Italianate front door looks 100 years newer than the house, and there are some other clues indicating a minor Victorian era remodel of a typical Planation Plain I House. Was the home moved at this time or much later?

Beautiful home! It is common for older homes in Washington, GA, to be moved either closer to town or out in the country.

Very nice – wish there were more inside pictures. Nice clean well kept. What not to like? Interesting use of fireplaces.

This place feels like home to me. I have been wanting goats and chickens… maybe I could board some horses too. Love the ambiance…feels like my Gma’s house.

Very nice house. It looks so inviting and I like the books stacked on the coffee table and in the fireplace. Makes the books so convenient to read.

Posted in 2017, recently reduced in price so thought I’d move to the front page for another look. Comments above may be older.

Lovely setting and house has some nice elements…..I especially like the board ceilings and the standing-end chimneys. Interesting to speculate about the relocation and the Victorian, “updating” too.
