Here is possibly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own this beautiful, brick 3-story home with 5 BR's & 3.5 baths in a desirable location on Park Ave. East, just a short walk from Soldiers & Sailors Park & the south end business district. This home has not been offered for sale for almost 64 years. Upon entering, you will be delighted to see lovely French doors opening to a den, which leads to a 4-season sun room on the east side of the home. The charm & detail of this home is evident in the gorgeous woodwork throughout & the beamed ceilings in the living room & formal dining room. Two wood burning fireplaces spread their warmth in the LR & Master BR. The second floor will delight you w/stunning built-in closets & cupboards & 4 large bedrooms with hardwood floors. Antique tiles in the 2nd-floor hall bath are amazing. Plus, there's a 3rd floor with even more finished space! A full-usable basement completes this truly great home, which sits on a large 192' deep lot. Must see!

Lots of original stuff! I just love the bathroom tiles of all the animals! I was disappointed to see the arch of the window over the door top cut off.

I am a total junkie for historic decorative tiles! IMO, the best things in the house. But, like I said, I’m a junkie!

And such a nice town, Susan! Easy commute to Chicago, lots of shopping opportunities and cultural events. So very many old homes in good condition.

Thank you! Our business districts are busy once again, like they were when I was growing up. If you ever need suggestions or recommendations, please feel free to reach out!

Those tiles in the bathroom are probably Porceleyne Fles Delft cloissone tiles. Rare to see in American home decoration. Of great interest to tile collectors.
