I would try to get all the furnishings included in the purchase price. There are some nice pieces that look like they belong in this beautiful house.
A staircase with character to spare. The asymmetric placement of the quadristyle columns seems unusual, and emphasized by the oval window above them.
Thank you, I’m not seeing things! I thought the columns and window were off center with each other. Then I thought maybe it was just the camera angle.
I didn’t expect to see furniture in such good condition in a home that’s “been vacant for several years.” I’d like that wicker chaise with the magazine pocket, please. The house certainly needs some cosmetic updates, but one wonders how it looked before the extensive/expensive cleaning.
I want the scales in the bathroom.
Now that’s what I’m talking about! I love everything from the front brick walk in!
I want this houseit’s so precious
Lovely, classic Southern home with beautiful heart of pine floors and kitchen cabinets. Makes me homesick.
Beautiful house and furniture. I love it

What a stunner! But I wish there were double front doors for my hoop skirts to fit through 🙂
Love this
This is a beautiful home in a poor area. All the mills have basically closed down and there’s little in the way of industry. Columbia is fairly close and offers premier shopping and Copper River Grill. It’s not a bad commute to the big city. It is rural in nature but that’s what makes St. Matthews so great. I, personally, love the area but I tend to like life at a much slower pace.
I was surprised at how decent the interior is, considering it has been vacant for some time. I’m with the person who said they’d try to get the furniture included. There really are some nice pieces!
