Wow this house has so many great wood details. The wood fretwork is missing a lot of its pieces but would be great to restore. One of them still has the two wood curtain rods on the left and right to hang material. (drapery that would actually never be able to be closed. purely decorative unlike most portiere doorway curtains.)

The staircase and woodwork in this house are also wonderful.

This is an amazing price for a very large house that looks to be in fairly good condition.

I feel stupid but what is the outside of the house covered with? It appears to be smooth stucco but I don’t expect to see that in a house of this style in Iowa.

Ocker reality at the top lists the outside as stucco. I wouldn’t have expected it either.

  4. Both of these fretwork grilles appear in the Foster-Munger (Chicago) catalog. I think they could be fixed up fairly easily. They are very nice designs and should be repaired. Lots of very good woodwork here!
