This remarkable shorefront home is located on a private point! The home, built in 1901, has a fascinating history. Once living in Lubec, Maine, the home was moved to its current location by the owner in 1998! The home was placed on a full foundation and given updates, while maintaining the original charm and character of the old house, including beautiful woodworking, wood floors, staircase, and much more! Most original features are still in place and must be seen! The proud, 4 BR home is positioned to take full advantage of the breathtaking views from almost every window, or one can sit on the covered porch and take in the sounds of the ocean and nature. Sited on 4.9 acres with an additional shared lot (10% interest) containing 3.7 acres, which was put into place to protect the surrounding property. Enjoy over 1,300 feet of frontage on beautiful Southeast Harbor with ledge outcroppings and trails leading around the shoreline, as well as a dock! Includes a newer Post & Beam Barn!

This is a dream of a spot. You are also only 1 1/2 hours from Bangor which has an international airport. Just a lovely house. Oh the gardens I would have.

location location location – on Mount Desert but the quiet side of the island. perfect in all respects except
ps – that’s a garage. a barn is 100 X 40 and big enough for the animals and their hay.

I can see why the owner chose to locate the home on this scenic property! I can also see why they chose not to build, but to relocate this gorgeous home! That pantry is exquisite!

Breathtaking! Love the toilet. I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before.

I love the smaller old homes and this one is perfect. The kitchen and bathroom are awesome. It looks cozy and comfy too. I would probably throw some more colour on the exterior though, just preference.
