Build date given is 1890 but I believe it’s a few decades older than that.

Next to downtown. One story Greek Revival’s are my favorite style. This even passed the husband test but since we already have a home in an area we love, it’ll have to remain a day dream.

Yes…there’s an antebellum Greek Revival underneath all the later additions and portico change. I shopped this house for purchase 12 or so years ago before the present ‘spiffing’.

I love that the front hallway goes all the way from the front door straight thru to the back. That is my favorite style.

Love everything about this house. Could use more cabinetry in the kitchen. The best part is that it is right next to my favorite kind of store…..an antique store! I would be there all the time, that is if it was still there.

I think it’s funny that the listing calls it an “extra large laundry room.” It’s more like an enclosed porch that happens to have the washer/dryer in it.

Kelly, do you know what happened to this house?? It was bought by Samantha Bee’s show “Full Frontal,” fixed up, and donated to a El Refugio, an organization that assists the families of immigrants being held in a federal detention center near Lumpkin. Here’s a link to a clip from the show:

First, LOL. I don’t know if I’ve ever heard of Samantha Bee but she’s hilarious. I’m glad the home was put to a great use (and hope it wasn’t just for TV.)

I think it will legitimately be used. The people working there with the detainees and their families seem to be on the up and up, at least.

I started watching her show recently and have been enjoying it. But it’s political and on the lefty side, so I’m sure it’s not amusing to everybody. 🙂

Thanks, Kelly! I think I have a new favorite now, too! One story Greek Revival in a downtown southern small city (no snow) for winter living – would be bonus if it was coastal. Need water. So sweet!

But it’s nice that it’s going for a good purpose – hope it’s on the up & up, too!
