I ran the translation through two different ones and it came out the same. What does it really say? 🙂

The phrase “you will be served at wish” more closely translates as get what you desire. As in if you like the vintage look, with this woodwork and high ceilings, you will get what you desire.

It’s good except for “period friendly restoration”.should be A lot of time and love went into partially restoring it.

Like TGrant said, it means : If you like the vintage look […] you’ll get what you wished for // You’ll be served // as happy as you could wish

I lurk on here a lot but rarely comment – but I would like to help with your French! I see you have already learned that word-for-word translation (like auto-translators do) doesn’t always work that great. I think a better translation of the above would be:

English: Century old house in the heart of the town of Milan. A lot of love and time went into a period-friendly restoration. If you like an original, antique appearance with wood paneling and high ceilings, you will have what you desire here. A large lot with a storage shed is also included. Come and take a look!

(to be honest, I don’t know what to do with “la restaurer partiellement” – word for word it is “a partial restoration” but what they mean is it hasn’t been “modernized” per se, but upgraded with care to keep its original look)

It’s hard to get context when translating to English sometimes, our language seems to have WAY more ways to say things than others do. If you don’t like your translations or they often don’t make sense, try using the “Reverso Context” site (for French: http://context.reverso.net/translation/french-english/En+prime ) – they will give you options on what a phrase might mean rather than just word-for-word translation.

I hope this helps! Love, love, love this website!! Thank-you!

You don’t need a Google translate for the beauty of the house. I have to say I didn’t expect that interior. It really is perfect. No trampolines either 🙂

It’s not “you get what you desire” it’s more accurate to say “you get what you are looking for”. But who cares eh? The house is quite nice.

Did you notice how blue the sky is, did you notice the SNOW DRIFTS outside the glass doors?!? What’s not to love?

I love this house. Is that a washing “machine” in the last picture? I”m crazy about that stuff! The rich color of the wood makes it feel so cozy. Alas although I speak three languages fluently and understand a couple others French is not my forte and I think I would be totally lost in Quebec but if you could move that house to Upstate New York or better yet somewhere in New England i’d be a happy camper!

This is one of the most fabulously different houses I have seen on here. I had to keep scrolling through it.
