Although it says “$158,000” on the agents site, it looks like this was reduced in price recently.

I’d buy it because of that gorgeous center hall alone!

Grand entry way. Needs a little fixing here and there and paint, but the house is nice inside. I couldnt see much of the outside.

It always surprises me when a home & property has a lot to offer & the agents do not post pictures that best showcase it all. I looked at the google earth street view, the photo was from 2015 I believe & the place looks like it sits in a park, the property looks great, but there are only 13 pictures of the home/property. Wow! There are people looking at properties for sale from other towns & other states, seems to me that showcasing the homes/properties with adequate photos would assist interested parties….. odd.

This home may not have a 2nd floor, while there is obviously enough room for one. My grandparents lived on a house similar to this. Several people in the town I live in have added the second floor to these old girls

That center hall…so beautiful. The whole house looks great.

There are not enough photographs of the property. My husband and I do not live in Alabama but are looking to downsize from a large 1860’s home on five acres in Georgia. We are both from Alabama. We have to bring horses but can’t tell if the property is wooded or if area for pasture. What, if any, updates–power, gas, a/c, paint condition, etc.

I can’t answer your questions but you could contact the agent for information about updates. This is showing as a foreclosure on some sites so he may not know but won’t hurt to ask.

The agent added an additional photo which explains my confusion over the build date. Looks like this started out as a Greek Revival and had a later back addition/remodel. Added the photo to the post, 1st one. There are more photos now on the agent site too: link to agent.
