    I’m always interested in houses in Yorkshire because of my life-long love of James Herriot’s books. I can just imagine the music playing as he rolls up to this house to care for a beloved dog or horse.

    I’m completely in love with this home. It’s exactly the English dream house I’ve always wanted. Oh my word. There’s only one problem. Well, two. It’s in England and I’m in Oregon. Oh, yes. And the price. But other than that, it couldn’t be more perfect. *sigh*

    There was a house just to the east of here posted earlier this year, I believe, but nowhere near as grand. I would take either, go to the Sowerby Bridge Pool and Fitness Centre early afternoon to work up an appetite, and then cross over the River Calder for tapas at Firehouse Restaurant and Cafe Bar. {sigh}

    Odd, there’s no picture or mention of a kitchen, anyone find one?

    I love the pattern on the driveway. I want to redo my rather humble concrete driveway, which has a lot of cracks. Also, the walk from the driveway to the front door is buckled. I think I just found what I want to do. Stamped concrete in this pattern! I love this house!

    Great place. Glad to see there is a water closet down stairs, I was staring to think that would be quite a sprint each time……

    My mother is an Englishwoman who married an American serviceman in 1954, so I might be able to get a British passport. Now if I only had the money…

    With the extra 8 acres for kids and dogs, this seems just about perfect for a Really Old House Dream. Even the name is great – Lower Wat Ing.
