    What an adorable house with so much potential! The outside reminds me of an Alpine home, while the inside is not as much work as one would think. Someone please explain the different paneling in the room with the fireplace…

    I love this place – lots of period character, not too updated, inexpensive and in a pleasant village, scenic with history. Stick Style, I’d say.
    The house was built in 1879 for John Ringer Juliand (1836-1904), a local guy who was a small businessman in the village, mostly as an insurance agent. He lived here with wife Cecilia Read – they didn’t have children – and her mother Lola for a time. Cecilia sold the house in 1907 and, from the looks of it, new owner Charles O. Brown remodeled the interior a bit.
