Raney a former Postmaster of Beaufort built in 1909 located on the Bluff just off waterfront Bay St. so you can enjoy the southern breezes sitting on that wrap around southern porch. When you enter the foyer it embraces you with feeling & seeing the architecture that was put into the home with original heart pine flooring thru out the house & the downstairs has high ceilings with hand hammered tin ceilings, corner mantels with mirrored over-mantels and abundant trim and bead board ceilings.House is a good example of how a home that was built with traditional center hall plan in the first decade o the 20th century.There is a large family room & dining room & has wood burning fireplace for entertaining or having cozy family get together.
