I love this house. I would take it up just a notch and really emphasize the Aesthetic movement elements of its Queen Anne style. I wish it were within commuting distance of New York City or Philadelphia – I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Love the stair landing with its built-ins (so would my cats!), the huge mirror in the entry hall, that is one mighty fancy newel post, and the LR and master bedroom are huge! If feasible, think I’d turn the small front bedroom into a combo bath & walk-in closet, so that the one main bath wouldn’t need to be shared when there’s overnight company. Otherwise, I really like the floor plans & traffic flow of this house. Wondering what the little door on an outside wall above the picture rail sort of moulding in the pale green bedroom is for?

Absolutely amazingly beautiful home. The woodwork has been so well maintained. That took lots of work.

I love all the woodwork….not painted. I like how they kept the walls a light color and didn’t resort to painting the woodwork to lighten up the space!

  7. This house has been perfectly maintained, cleanliness beyond comparison. Quite beautiful. Whoever buys this is one lucky owner!

I looked at street view. Two questions-
    1. What is the building next door?
    2. From alley view -Some of the clapboards on the back and side elevation not painted.

The building next door appears to be an apartment building. That’s a common form for apartments in the area.

The Ferrara Pan Candy Company is just a few blocks north of this house (I used to live a couple blocks farther north) and makes the area smell DIVINE when the wind is right.

Also, yes, the house is stunning!

Only 1 bathroom in that whole house! But the house is absolutely gorgeous!

WOW is all I can say. Love everything about this house. Don’t think I’d change one thing.

Beautiful house, gorgeous woodwork. I could see a bit of the butler’s pantry from the kitchen, which looks great. Just an odd thought, I wonder how many times the front door has banged into the first stair on the open staircase?

I live in the neighborhood and I’ve been in the house several times. There are at least 2.5 baths. One is tucked under those amazing stairs :). The town is super cool and eclectic with really easy access to downtown Chicago. I’m amazed they aren’t asking for more. The real estate here is off the charts hot hot hot. Nothing stays on the market long.

Wonderful! Outstanding interior and exterior. Color is very nice as is interior wood.
