Was puzzled by the asking price until I saw how near it is to Boston.

The average home is about a 1/2 million in the area

What a delight to finally see the inside of this gem. I’ve been by it so many times thinking what a dream it would be to live there. It’s across from a pond and state park. That’s not a bad price for this property on 2 acres in Boxford. Median home values in the town are over $600K right now.

Nice Greek Revival — I’d love to take it on if I were 20 yrs younger. The property is peaceful, super barn for the horses & donkeys. Just to live on Baldpate Road would make my decade!

I live the next town over from Boxford so I’ll have to check this out. This house has so much potential. The listing states that the septic system failed Title V so that would be a big expense to replace for a buyer. This area north of Boston, the North Shore, is great since we’re close to fantastic beaches as well as the city.

Great house, would be a lot of fun to live there, with horses. I would like to have seen the entryway and stairs.

Those wide plank floors! How amazing they look! The owners did a beautiful job on building the new barn. I would love to see some more interior pictures.

Nice old home. I would love this one but too much money for a mid-westerner. Wish we could have seen more rooms.

Two acres to sustain 6 horses? Nope, no way. Two at most.

I do like the simplicity of this house and it is a handyman’s special! If someone with horses is looking for property to move to with their horse, this is not it. Consider surrounding the house with 1/2 leaves a little over 1 1/2 for a horse. By the book horse farming requires 2 acres per horse but you can fudge 1 horse but you would have to grain/hay year round because there is virtually no pasture. Horse need to be turned out not stalled all the time. If the State park across the road has equestrian trails, you could board but still, horses need turnout and pasture rotation. Like I said, I like the house and the location is pretty but for me, the price is a little steep considering. Lots of potential there for someone.
