Such a bunch of great houses today! I love this one, too! I know I am living in the wrong part of the country (So Cal) when I see these beauties for these prices, and not ruined.

A stroll around the neighborhood and so many wonderful homes! One thing I am curious about….. these are old homes, why are there not mature trees? It looks all bare. OH! And that High School! Beautiful! This house is a gem, I love it!

Unfortunately a lot of the curb trees were ash, which were wiped out a few years ago from the emerald ash borer.

New trees have been planted but it will be another 10 – 15 years before the street scape returns.

Great house! It was built in 1875 for W. Henry Neel (1842-1904) “Dealer in paints, oils, brushes, varnishes, white lead, colors, artists’ materials, plate, window and fancy glass. Only exclusive paint and glass store in Toledo.”
    Here’s the old carriage house:

The Gerber house from 1872 next door and the convent that looms over it were converted to a college, then an arts center.

I adore the windows on what looks like a sun room or closed in porch. What a beauty!
