No!!! This is our vacation house! The last few years when we go on vacation, this is the house we rent. Most all the rooms have bead board walls (not showing well on camera.)

We sit on the porch and admire the views, watch the horses, we LOVE it here! Dillard is a picturesque town, rural and quiet and one of the prettiest private schools I’ve ever seen in my life. I think it’s time to go on another vacation before this place is sold! Or hope the new owners will keep it as a vacation rental (and keep horses!)

Love it. I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed with the interior. All that acreage is to be envious of. I could have my pet cows.

Super cute though I can see why you won’t be buying it, priced a little in the high end, but the screnery is so worth it I guess. I can imagine how surrpised you must have been to see it for sale Kelly. I really like it!

Not surprised, we knew they were selling their properties except for the main Dillard House property. They were suppose to all go to auction a year or two ago but the auction was pulled last minute. (The Dillard House owns multiple vacation properties near their restaurant and motel.) I didn’t expect it to be priced so high though it does come with nice acreage.

It’s the cutest place I ever saw, and that property is gorgeous! It must make for just idyllic vacations, Kelly — I’d boohoo that they’re selling, for sure. Did you get to ride the horses or stay happy with hanging out with them? The house’s interior is so cozy & inviting & beautifully simple.

No, didn’t ride them but I think they are on an internal timer, lol. They come to the fence that is closest to the front door at check-in and check-out time every day. I think they’ve figured out that’s the time when people are going to be out there! (I know, it’s just horses but horses are cool when you don’t have any!)

I took a ton of pics of the house and views but not many of the horses for some reason. You don’t really have a mountain view from the porch, too many trees in the way, you have to walk up to the fence that divides the house and pasture. The porch wraps from the front to the side and back. It is a bit noisy road considering the Dillard House chalet village down the road and where ever that road takes you so it’s not exactly as peaceful as it looks, noise wise. Wish we could buy it as an investment but it’s not at a price we could do. Renting out the pasture and house for vacations though could cover the mortgage plus some.

You’re right, they probably figure out when people will be out there & maybe have a carrot or something for them. Horses aren’t dumb — & they are very cool, as you say. The price kind of made me gulp, but there’s a lot of land & yeah, the rental income would figure into it. Too bad it’s necessary to cough up the cost at the beginning! Hope you can go back once it’s sold — road noise aside, it’s so attractive. In the street view it looks like the trees keep things breezy & cool.
