Own a piece of history in the old gold mining town of Hillsboro! This classic adobe ranch style structure was built by the first Sheriff of Hillsboro; Sheriff Tom Murphy. The house was built in the traditional style of the day with double adobe walls, hipped metal roof and wrap around porch with decorative fretwork on the columns. A separate adobe carriage house now serves as a garage and a later added a spacious one car garage and attached guest quarters could easily be converted into a studio/office or rental unit. A third, smaller structure holds a functioning well. The property also boasts of mature fruit trees. This property is part of he Hillsboro Historic Walking Tour and would be a wonderful retirement home, second home or vacation rental.
