    I agree Lara Jane, This house has so much potential. The first thing I would do is take down all those bushes so you could see it. That staircase is wonderful! (and the windows)

    For once, I’ll just pretend the taxes are amazing low on this one, like around $1,000 a year. Except for the inevitably steep NY State property taxes, this house has a lot going for it in the modest $50k range. It looks as perhaps an elderly person had long lived there-one of the exterior photos shows a red dumpster beside the house perhaps used to clean out the contents. I don’t see much inside the house that says 1880 but its possible a house of that vintage received an interior makeover in the early 1900’s. Most of the early 1900’s details seem to have survived and with some decent landscaping (so the house isn’t hidden behind shrubbery) exterior colors, and cosmetic work inside, I think this house might turn out very nicely.
