This is a one and only opportunity to be a part of Atlanta History in Ansley Park across from Piedmont Park. The historic Atlanta DAR chapter's (Daughter's of the American Revolution) Craigie House was built in 1911. It is approximately 3,576 sq ft and currently zoned RG3. The property is gutted and needs substantial renovation. It is suitable for a variety of single or multifamily residential uses, and or may be perfect for a nonprofit organization / society. There is no parking currently on property.
OHD Notes
9/7/2014 Update: Back on the market, see updated photos below. I guess the owner decided not to rebuild. Priced at $685,000 for the lot.

4/5/13 Update: The house was sold and will be restored! Article link.

2/13/14 Update: The home collapsed during the winter storm in Georgia yesterday. From the pics, the whole back of it collapsed. Glad no one was inside when it happened, as it was still undergoing renovation. A news report with the owner stated that he plans to rebuild, I wish him the best of luck.

sadly, the house fell victim to the Atlanta Ice Storm. It collapsed in on itself during its early stages of renovation after a family purchased it for their dreamhome. im sick about it. always lovedcthis place and its history.

Oh no! Is that the house they were just talking about on the news? I didn’t realize it was the same one, saw a picture of it in the dark, if it was the same one.

Updated the post with a link to the article about the home. The whole back of the house collapsed. No one was inside, since it was still being worked on. Very sad, I think this means the end of the home, so much damage was done yesterday. The owner is reported saying he plans to rebuild.

I guess the owner decided not to rebuild. Added some new photos, the lot is being sold with the front wall still standing. I’m all for saving historic places but this is beyond saving, IMO. Maybe the columns are salvageable and could be incorporated in the future design…

I drove by where this house used to be the other day and anything that would have been saved has been demolished and it is now an empty lot. I don’t know what they’re going to do with it but it’s just open dirt right now. So sad, I always loved that place.

I can’t say I blame the owner for deciding to not go forward with trying to salvage the front and incorporate it into the rebuild. Thanks for the update.
