Not a project I’d want to tackle-a few interesting old bones remain but basically you would be looking at total reconstruction. 5.67 acres is a plus but this kind of “house” is only for those who want to reconstruct a new house within the shell(s) of an old one. “Endless opportunities” indeed…
Slap a coat of paint on it, throw up some pre-pasted wallpaper and you’re good to go!
🙂
don’t forget the granite countertops and the stainless appliances… 🙂
ha, ha!
This would be a great vacation/retirement property. I would demolish the additions leaving the log home and restore it so it retains its rustic appeal. I love the hearth and the logs. I can see the possibilities.
So, where does the door lead in the stone wall? Was that used for storage or smoking meat or what?

I figured it might mean the root cellar. It also says there is a wash house on the property but not sure what that would be or look like.
The door is an old ice house.
On the other side there is a stone well which is hugh.
I dont know about anyone else, but I would love to own this old house, yes it is alot of work but it would be well worth it. My husband and I are both retired and we just finished restoring the house we are in now. who knows mayby we will sell this one and see if we could purchase this old house. alot of work you bet!
