2164 Buskirk West Hoosick Rd, Buskirk, NY 12028

On May 2, 1792, the Dutch Reformed Church at Tiossiook was founded. The many Dutch families in the area organized and the Church in the Woods was opened in 1823. This remarkable church has been functioning in its original purpose except for a few years when it was held privately. In 2006, the Church was purchasd from private owner by the NY Conference Association of Seventh Day Adventists and it has maintained stewardship. Limitless Treasures: Hanging in bell tower is an original Troy built bell whose sweet sound can be heard today by the pull of a rope. The Church proper has solid wood pews that are awe-inspiring in quality and two stained glass windows behind pulpit. Once in a life-time opportunity to own a piece of history.
