Welcome to The Cobblestone Manor - Not only is this historical building a truly remarkable place to call home, it is also an incredible opportunity to create your own business as a restaurant, a wedding centre, a wellness retreat and a bed and breakfast. The possibilities are endless! With its rich history, exquisite craftsmanship, and spacious layout, this property is ideally suited for family living while accommodating guests and providing an unforgettable hospitality experience. Cobblestone Manor was one of the original homes built in Cardston. The two-storey structure in the centre was built in 1898 by the Joseph Young family. In 1913, Henry Hoet, a talented Belgian finishing carpenter, bought the log house and began to fortify and expand the original structure using local river rocks from Lee Creek. The interior showcases beautiful hardwoods sourced from around the world that Hoet acquired through working on the building sites of the Prince of Wales Hotel and the Alberta temple. The dining rooms' unique patterned ceilings, finishes, and beautiful stained glass accents create a charming ambiance for guests. The three unique and inviting fireplaces provide a cozy atmosphere that makes the dining experience romantic. In addition to the three dining rooms, commercial kitchen, reception area and washrooms of the manor, there is a private owner's suite featuring a separate entrance, a primary bedroom with ensuite, a kitchen, laundry, and office on the main floor and two bedrooms with a shared full bath on the second floor. The bed and breakfast building on the property has a two-bedroom, two-bath suite on the main floor with a kitchen, living room and sauna. On the second floor is a two-bedroom, one-bath suite with a rooftop patio over the garage. There is also parking with an entrance from the street - this is perfect for short-term or possibly long-term rentals. The unique blend of historical significance and modern amenities provides the ideal foundation for a home and thriving bed and breakfast. With ample space and seating capacity for up to 95 people, the Cobblestone Manor is perfect for hosting receptions, weddings, and other special events year-round. Imagine the joy of sharing its fascinating history and architectural beauty with visitors from all over the world. By capitalizing on the property's enchanting charm and reputation, you can create a sought-after destination for travellers seeking an authentic and memorable experience. This is an extraordinary opportunity to embrace the rewards of owning a property that seamlessly blends history, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial potential.

923,088.27 USD. Shaking out my piggy bank, checking the sofa cushions. What an incredibly beautiful offering. I’m imagining how glorious the stained glass is when seen in person.

Think I’ll go out to Alberta
Weather’s good there in the fall
I got some friends that
I could go working for
Still I wish you’d
change your mind
If I asked you one more time
But we’ve been through this
a hundred times or more…

Neil Young Four Strong Winds. Beautiful video. Simply lovely.

I grew up in Edmonton and Red Deer Alberta. If I had the money I would trade South Carolina for this home. I remember that song well.

Good thing Cardston is a dry town, otherwise that carpet would have me spinning around in circles

Dry you say? Can’t enjoy a good glass of wine while sitting by the fire? 😕

It’s a Mormon town, they had a referendum on allowing alcohol 8 years ago less than 25% voted for it. The town is nice and has the widest streets, I could U-turn my car and travel trailer anywhere
