Obit for Johanna Mueller, Sept. 25, 1939: “Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Mrs. Johanna Mueller, 72, with prayer service at the home, Glassell street and Fairhaven ave at 1:30 p.m. and church rites at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Orange at 2 p.m. … Mrs. Mueller passed away Friday night at her home.”
Children. Gustav, 1888-1920. Emil Carl, 1891-1955. Ernst, 1894-1945.

Obituary, Jan. 16, 1933: “John Jacob Mueller of South Glassell Street, passed away at his ranch home last night after a year’s illness. Mr. Mueller was born in Germany 72 years ago and came to Orange in 1887 from Humboldt, Kans. He had lived on the ranch in Glassell street since that time. Surviving Mr. Mueller are his widow, Mrs. Johanna Mueller; two sons, the Rev. Ernest Mueller, pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church at Visalia, and Carl Mueller of Garden Grove; three daughters, Mrs. Lydia Brucker and Mrs. Robert Nunn, of Orange, and Mrs. Fred Fluor, of Santa Ana; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elise Boss, and two brothers, Rich and Herman. The latter three are living in Germany. Funeral Services are to be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:20 o’clock from the family home and at 3 o’clock from St. John Lutheran church.”
