Purchase a piece of history! The first barge in Schuylkill County is said to be launched from this site on the Schuylkill Canal. It is also rumored that George Washington stayed here! The original bread oven still exists in the building today. So much history exists on site. The property was originally a hotel then a bar room & most recently a 4-5 unit however it has not been occupied in years. Demo has been started on the inside. Current owner has never turned on the water. Cash sale only. Property needs rehab & is sold as is. Condition of Electric, plumbing, heating system unknown. Also seller is unsure about sewer. Public sewer may or may not be an option & seller thinks there may be a septic system on site but unsure about its condtion. Please verify with township. Stone structure throughout the property. Some internal walls are stone as well. 12 ft ceilings on the first floor. This property has so much potential. Commercial usage may be possible but would need a variance.
