4640 S Pere Marquette Hwy, Ludington, MI 49431
Built as a church, used as a home it retains much of the church character inside and out. Main floor has large open room with wood flooring and enormously high ornate tin ceilings with the altar still at the back of the church. Stairway leads up to 2 rooms, with a balcony overlooking the main floor. Lower level/basement used since 1995 as a residence. There is a natural gas FA furnace, full bath, kitchen and living areas in the basement, all need extensive re-hab. While it is livable, it is a project property. The well is not working. Septic replaced in 2010 with little use, since well was not functional. Legend has it the brass bell came out of a Lake MI shipwreck. True? This is an estate. The attorney will review offers after the property has been on the market for a week.
