Black brick, eh. That should go over well these days with the paint it black youngsters. That same set detest anything wooden, so won’t surprise me a bit to see it again in a few years with an entirely painted interior. Good luck brother..

  2. Oh my, love that stove !! Amazing woodwork, airy windows …. This one is a beauty.

I liked it well enough until I saw the price tag. There is no land and it’s in a neighborhood so am curious especially after looking at the carpet that needs redone and they galley style kitchen what could possibly make it worth that much money? Is there something I’m missing?

It’s Ontario, this particular town is pretty high priced considering how close it is to Toronto, people moving out of the city (according to articles I read about their home prices jumping.) The average 4 bedroom sells for nearly a million.

      • I find English property prices to be insanely expensive – I wonder if Canada is moving in that direction as well, at least in popular areas like BC and around Toronto. I just don’t follow pricing in Canada much…

          Horrible 80's-style. Toronto,

Because we hadn’t deregulated our banking system, our hit from the Great Recession wasn’t nearly as bad. Our Conservative Government was just on the verge of deregulation when the US Real Estate market melt-down hit and they quickly back pedaled. House prices in Toronto have continued to climb to astronomical proportions causing families to buy within commuting distance of the city. Now, with the pandemic, people are working remotely and we’re seeing prices even further out of the cities rise quickly. Lots of people are also moving to/back to the Maritimes which is why you’re seeing more expensive places there, especially in Nova Scotia.
