This stunning 1 - 1/2 storey Gothic Revival House, sits boldly on 3.5 acres of mature farmland with 150' of river frontage on the Roseway River. Enter the front of the house through the inset double doors nestled in an alcove between the bay windows into the foyer where you are greeted by the original ornate staircase and banister. This home offers ample amounts of living space suitable for making an in law suite at the back of the house. On the main level are 3 bathrooms, a large eat in kitchen with custom oak cabinets, a library, a living room, sun room and ample storage space. Although the beautiful original fireplaces are not in current working order they add to the historical charm of the home. The library has plenty of custom shelving and a garden door leading to the deck. There is a beautiful sun room at the back of the house offering expansive views of the back yard. The unique master bedroom is complete with 4 piece ensuite and an iron spiral staircase leading to a loft area, great for a sitting room. This home built circa 1893 for Thomas Robert Bower was originally a farm and the stone banking along part of the property edge still remains. There is a 2 level barn next to the house and a gazebo down by the river to enjoy lazy summer nights.

The description says 3.5 acres but the data in the listing details say 2.5, not sure which one or the other is a typo/error.

Great looking details on the exterior. It has great curb appeal. The kitchen looks very small but the house looks a bit more spacious? I love the surrounding landscape. The barn looks intriguing. I’d love to explore it!
Oh that BARN! If only it were in my target area, sigh.
Who wouldn’t like gingerbread in the bath?

So many charming features! Greta, I agree – Oh that BARN! The gazebo, the river, the wood paneling but my favorite is gingerbread in the bath. Why not?
I could sit in those chairs and gaze outside all day long.
Once the cat settled into your lap, you’d have little choice. A house with those sort of windows HAS to have a cat.
Love this sweet house but the outdoors won me over. Beautiful!
Wow, I’m sure this has great potential, I can see many wonderful features. The area around the house looks like it would be an adventure.
