I understand that all they are selling is the land but I sure wish there were pics of the interiors of the structures. About 30 years ago, I knew someone who bought a similar deal. The house was small, ugly as sin, needed work, but was reasonably habitable for anyone with a spirit of adventure, and it sat on the very top of a hillside with expansive views of valley, distant hills and San Francisco Bay. The property swept down a gentle slope to preserved open space, full of beautiful Manzanitas, and hiking trails. The land was valued at 55K. Lord only knows what it’s worth today.
Whenever I see an offer of land with structure(s) on it, I think of that little gem.
Your a good writer. I like what you wrote.
Thank you. That made me smile.

Well, I really love this!! I just know that schools got potential & I so wish there were pics. The land looks so pretty & peaceful, just what I imagine it to be NE. I’ve heard of Broken Bow, not sure where right now, but I’m intrigued & interested! I really love this! Did I already say that? 🙂
He’s right , Keylime. You always add informative content. I bet that property your friend bought was above Palo Alto off of Hwy 280 and Hwy 9 . Drove though that area a lot when my Dad was at Vets Hospital in P.A. Lots of million dollar plus homes in that area.
Any time I see “School House ” in the title. I hope for interior pictures also. I like the unique and unexpected.
Thank you, too. I was trying to remember where the house is located. It’s on the east side of San Francisco Bay, pretty far north. It most likely was above San Pablo Bay, which is smaller than and feeds into SF Bay. At that time, property was still reasonably priced in that area. People with blue collar jobs could afford to buy there. I don’t think Palo Alto has ever been anything but expensive. Lovely town. Very leafy and home to the wonderful Bell’s Books…new and used.

I’d pay a fee to see inside that schoolhouse!

It has been said fences make good neighbors, actually no neighbors make the best neighbors LOL! This seems so isolated, don’t know that it is, but it looks to be. It is such a tease when there are buildings and not even a wee peep to whet our appetite.
