22 Main St, Saxtons River, VT 05154

Known as St. Edmunds of Canterbury and located in the Historic District of Saxtons River Village you will find this c. 1952 House of Worship to be understated on the outside and on the inside dramatically impressive. When you enter through the gable end, rectangular panes of colored lights surround the covered entry, double doors swing open into the nave and immediately the soaring ceilings draw your eyes to the natural woodwork, the beautiful curved posts and beams, and to analyze the stability and dramatic beauty of such a grand room. While continuing to use this space as it was intended is possible the options to renovate into additional uses are likely. Investigate the possibilities. of converting to a restaurant, residence or storefront? The main floor also includes a vestibule with sink. The lower, walk-out level is finished and was used for many years as retail space, there is a basic kitchen, two half baths, a storage/office room and utility areas. Outside a natural sloping walk-way with railing provides handicap entrance to the lower level. There is a small private side yard with an 8' stone wall.
