This epitomizes my old house dream.
There is an “exit” sign over the front door which makes me wonder what this house was used for. Nothing else about it seems like a business or institution.

I’m with ya. I could be very happy here.
This place used to be a small old-folks home called Serenity Haven.

Great looking brick exterior and I love those marble fireplace surrounds!

What’s not to love, with fantastic fireplaces; great price; and a summer kitchen too!
The very early update muddled the style a little; but not too bad. Very little muddling after that is a huge bonus.
FOR GOD SAKE, SOMEONE KEEP AN EYE ON THOSE SUMMER SCREENS!
Nice.

Wouldn’t a house this stately have a different treatment than a “lean to” roof above the front door? Any ideas?
My brother-in-law lives in Frankfort. I will have to check this out, next time I am there. I have already forwarded this to him.
