This big, 3450 sq ft federal style, craftsman built in 1832 in the heart of the historic district of Madisonville was the boyhood home of Estes Kefauver, who was a U.S. Congressman and U.S. Senator, who ran in the Presidential Primaries in 1952, and was the Vice Presidential running mate to Adlai Stevenson in the 1956 Presidential race. he was highly respected by both parties, but died at the age of 60 in 1963. His father served 8 terms as Mayor of Madisonville and purchased the home in 1917. The house, which is on nearly an acre of prime real estate, was in a fire in 2006. Repairs have consisted of a new roof and windows but still needs extensive renovation to return it to the original glory of it's day. The house can be a private residence or it could be commercial. Many possibilities.
