Casa Mañana, known as the "House of Tomorrow," was built in 1929. The home was built by Macy O. Teeter a business owner from Hagerstown. The design was inspired by Macy’s wife Lucille, hailing from a prominent New Orleans family. The Teeters were involved in every aspect of construction, tasking the well-known Indianapolis architecture firm Pierre & Wright with the design. The wrought iron fence surrounding the property was modeled after an historic New Orleans estate, crafted at Hagerstown's Perfect Circle plant. From the leaded glass windows, solid walnut beams, pegged walnut floors and beautiful tiles from around the world, no expense was spared in Casa Mañana. Seller requires proof of funds or pre-approval letter to confirm showings.
