This house has great bones! I love it. So much to work with… Of course all it takes is money. Amazing potential.
Beautiful original Arts and Crafts details — including some lighting — still intact! Selective backdating (interior and exterior) could really transform this into a showplace. The inglenook with fireplace and diamond-paned casement windows are especially nice details. So much to start with! Here’s hoping that a fan of Stickley buys this place…

And yet the listing leads with “Who wants to flip this house?” Cringe! Not me! I think it’s fabulous just the way it is!

Rather than flip, think I’ll just nessle in and stay.

Mixed messages here. “Flip” and “renovate” but also “restore to former glory”. Which will it be, lucky buyer?
Me, too, Bethany. Unless there are some mechanicals in need of attention, I could live here indefinitely..pretty much exactly as is and just to prove I can. A good power cleaning can do wonders for those less than gorgeous parts of the floors, I’ll bet. Well, maybe I’ll do something right away about the UPS patch in the ceiling.
I can find plenty to do outside. Check back with me about the inside..in about five years.
And it has radiators! I LOVE radiators.
Flip!? No way! DO NOT TOUCH THAT KITCHEN!!!!!
Elaborate new cabinets and granite topped counters aren’t in my future, either.

I want to see a closer image of this Arts and Crafts tile, please.

I got a good look at the tile by enlarging the Virtual Tour image. Wonderful Art Nouveau/Arts and Crafts maiden with red hair and blue cape holding flowers. Wish I knew how to turn a photo into something I could share here. It’s really a sweet relic!
Can you tell if the wallpaper looks original? It seems so perfectly complementary. What a fantastic room to ruin any gray Upstate NY day!

I could be totally wrong here but the wallpaper has a bright 70’s vibe too it. I don’t see “Arts and Crafts” in it. Neat, though, how the wallpaper colors match the tile perfectly.

Maybe the picture is Brigid the goddess of the Tuatha Dé Danann!
I love this house and with Brigid in her mantle over the mantle would be icing on the cake!

Sweet shape, nice kitchen and love the siding.
The only thing I’d change is the carpet on the stairs. Much to love about this home!
Keylime, I am with you. Love radiators
