So Much potential with this 2 acre lot with .5 acre zoning. If you love the charm of an old Victorian house and have the resources to do a total rehab this could be the project for you! Rather take it down and start over? Another great idea! So many options, with possible subdivision for a spec house or your dream home, or sell a lot. This in town location offers flexibility no matter what you decide. This home will not qualify for financing. Any lots subdivided "should" qualify for town septic but will need a well. Interior could not be measured at this time all information from town records.

I was curious why people were saying not to tear it down. It’s a nice house, and I couldn’t understand why that was an option until i read the caption. I always read the caption of these homes after I look at the pictures. I find it strange that it was described even offering that. This nice little old gothic revival deserves restoration.I would be very sad to see it demolished. Fingers crossed.

“Rather take it down and start over? Another great idea!” All the stuff I want to say I shouldn’t, so just go back and look at pictures three and four again and take a deep breath . . .

Imagine working in that study/office and just throwing open the big gothic windows! Very lovely to see in New England; although I know NH better than VT, those gothic elements dont seem too common (except maybe Oak Bluffs cottages).

This is one of the few that appeals to me because it’s all there and still has an old house feel. It’s history is intact right down to the photographs along the stair. Get that excavator out of there before it’s too late.

I’d buy this house for the windows alone.

  9. Oh man, it is too bad it was allowed to fall into such disrepair. I really hope they don’t tear it down. I get the impression this might be a foreclosure or a forced elderly person into retirement home situation.

    Those windows are gorgeous!
