Local history states that this Gothic Revival house was in fact designed by Alexander Jackson Davis and pre-cut for delivery as a kit for another site. The brothers Charles Edwin and Nathaniel Crenshaw Miller bought the kit and had the house constructed sometime in the 1850’s. The outbuilding was evidently used as an office, and the wrapping addition dates to the 20th century. HABS has a listing but no scanned pics.

  2. now that’s back when they knew how to make kits!!! What a great house!!! I’d tone down the bright aqua color and paint it in the pool that I’d put in either right off the basement exit or where that birdbath is on the side!
