Own a piece of history. This Colonial Georgian home built circa 1845 belonged to James Lapum, MP at the time of confederation who later served as postmaster. Lots of character including the original fieldstone fireplace in the dining room, open concept family room kitchen, living room on main floor currently used as a bedroom and four good sized bedrooms upstairs; the master and bonus bedroom were once a ballroom which could be converted back to a single room. The basement is partially finished and has a walkout from the rec room to the large backyard with an in-ground saltwater pool. The current owners performed several updates five years ago though more restoration is still needed; mostly on the exterior as well as a roughed-in bathroom on the main floor. The house is being sold as-is where-is, and neither fireplace or woodstove is WETT certified.
