Yada build date. You ever get tired of saying the same things over and over and over? 😀

I do love the coloring of the wood. I’m fairly certain that cabinet in the corner of the kitchen is original.

Those wood floors are really neat as well as the doors at the bottom of the stairs. Cool grain. I also think that cabinet in the corner of the kitchen is original and I LOVE it!

Kelly, do you think the build date is earlier or later? I’m asking because the door and window trim looks very much the same style as the house I grew up in which I know was built in 1909. Trying to learn a bit here and there.

Nice basement. That’s a valuable commodity in the midwest. My parents’ basement was like something out of a horror movie.

    Aaaaaahhhhh……
Just two blocks from my folks house.
Three blocks from where I went to 8th & 9th.
    Four blocks to downtown.
This was built when the mill was in full swing.
I am enjoying a warm pot of nostalgia tea.
This town will forever be home in my heart.

GREAT job on the woodwork! Whoever did that saved the new homeowner lots of time, money, and frustration. Looks terrific!

I love the house and all the natural woodwork is beautiful.

I love the wrap around porch but noticed a temporary metal column on the curved part of the porch to support the porch. Since there appears to be no evidence of a column there originally, how would you deal with that, replicate the column to match the others or restructure the beam to carry it around the corner without a post? It doesn’t look as if there was a column there originally.
