Build date on record is 1900 but bits of the exterior (cornice line, general shape and alignment of the windows), interior (that door to the right of the staircase and the one on the staircase itself) make me think this is a touch older. But vernacular can be a bit behind so I may be wrong. 🙂
That’s gotta be the longest bank of kitchen cabinets ever built! What lovely property this house has. And it even comes with a dinner bell.

So looking at the land images, it appears there might be an old water way or a pre-historic man made structure just on the outside of the property border. I wonder if anyone has ever done any archeological investigating here before?
I don’t doubt that you could turn up evidence of previous inhabitants, but if you’re looking at this picture https://www.oldhousedreams.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/19-220alexandria.jpg my guess is that what look like possible foundations are just rock outcrops which appear curved because of the contour of the hill.

This one makes NO sense to me whatsoever. There is / (was) (seemingly) nothing wrong with this great little house: and in fact much to recommend. I don’t understand it. I can’t figure it out. The listing you linked to doesn’t seem to mention the house, but if you scroll through far enough, there are still the whole series of pix =?? I mean, with 113 acres to set your new pole barn on; why wreck this fine little gem? Makes no sense. I wonder if they subbed it and made the house a separate parcel? Hmmmmmm..
