2642 Chestnut Ave, Long Beach, CA 90806

*****OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY***** Cheney/Delaney House. This house was designated as a historical landmark by the Long Beach Heritage Commission in 1991. Constructed in 1937, it is one of the few examples in Long Beach of Streamline Moderne architecture and represents the progressive modernism that heralds the future. It is suggestive of a ship in motion with a design of exterior curving corners, strips of horizontal window bands, and a pronounced overhang. The interior is largely intact with the original details of moldings and built-in lights. The property has a large lot, with a detached two car garage.
