Prescott IS gorgeous! I almost bought a place there. It was 20 acres with a big ol’ run-down farmhouse and equally run-down barn, a creek and fenced pastures. It was cheap, $100k. That was in 2001, but I bought my current place instead.

Prescott and the surrounding area is close to the spectacular Umatilla Nat. Forest, and not far from the Blue Mountains as well. I love the area, and know it well. Lots of wheat ranches, cattle ranches, and vineyards. Awesome weather too… a lot drier than the West side of the Cascades!

I wondered where you lived in relation to this area. I can’t imagine looking out your window and seeing those rolling hills.

I’m a few hours west of here, but my grandma lived in Walla Walla for years (30-40 mmiles south of here) , and I make a point of going through here when I visit my mom in Montana.
