      Yes, it’s hard to tell if that’s truly a dark kitchen or just the bad photography. Fantastic house though, I’d love to go through its empty rooms in person. “sigh”

    It always saddens me when I see an addition added on to one of these beautiful stately homes with total disregard for the architectural style of the home. If it was a detached garage siting a long side of the house I wouldn’t comment. However, on the brighter side, I can appreciate the convivence it affords the homeowner but its still wrong. A couple of hours at the drawing table and some vision, a new period (c. 1911) correct facelift on the courtyard side would greatly enhance the garage and help it blend in with the house.

      Just changing out the design of the garage doors would change the whole look. On cold snowy days I wouldn’t be one to complain. 🙂
