Bonus! Railroad track across the street! Y’all know how I feel about that.

New owner, please restore these wonderful windows!

Build date on record is 1900 but this could be a little older than that.

I thought of you, Kelly, as soon as I saw the railroad tracks outside the front door.

This property seems to have safely survived latter-day remuddling. Hoping it stays that way.

I am happy I’m not the only one who loves trains, Kelly! Growing up, our house was about 500 feet from the main railroad tracks through our town, including the passenger trains. Where I live now we are 5 blocks from a line that used to me major, but still gets daily traffic. I love the sounds!!

Cute house. If my son still lived in NC I’d consider it. Odd side note…..driving down the side street, of the 2 houses behind this one, one is gone and one is being deconstructed. Puzzling since they both look like nice houses in the 2008 street view.

I would buy this house just for the linoleum rug and that sink!

While seeing houses in disrepair makes me sad they are always my favorite to look at. I am a visionary so I just start picturing them restored my way and getting excited.

I agree. I hate to see homes in poor condition, but I am also drawn to those. The low price, ‘as is’ are the ones I look at first and often wonder if they can be made livable, but keep the peeling paint, stained walls, and unpolished floors. I guess too much Munsters when I was a kid!

It looks as if not much has ever been done to this house. That’s a bonus in my book as there would be less to un-muddle. I love that porch!

Wow! The wiring is at least a century old. So are the fixtures. For some reason the exterior flaking paint is charming to me. It puts me in a very nostalgic mood. I had relatives that lived very rustically in the 50s and so I felt very homey when I stayed there. I would like to take care of this beauty or wish someone else would before it deteriorates more.
