Authentic granny house. I love the unpretentiousness.

In the 21st pic, is that a toilet off to the left of the bed??

Ha, good eye – I think you may be right! It would certainly make things easier for late night bathroom calls, although not very appealing for a partner. Either way, I do love the comfortable, lived-in feel of this place – it wouldn’t take much to feel right at home here…

Yes. Thank you for pointing that out. I flew right past it. So, is the bed in the bathroom or is the toilet in the bedroom?

The SCDAH report dates the Davis – Ferguson house to 1907 and shows a handsome front elevation without those inoperable shutters. The front porch ceiling shows a pretty accurate shade of “haint” blue paint despite this house being a couple hundred miles from where the Gullah folks originated the color. There are a few theories about the origin of “Due West”, but nobody really knows for sure.

It would be worth buying this house just to live in a place called “Due West.”
